Donald James Corrigan

July 13, 1917 - July 22, 2004

Donald James Corrigan, 87, of Corvallis died Thursday.

He was born in Rochester, N.Y., to Louis and Julia (Wolters) Corrigan.

Donald became an electrician for a family business.

He attended the University of Toronto and Rhode Island University, receiving a Master of Science in oceanography.

He worked as a geological oceanographer for Scripps Institute and Livermore Berkley Labs in California. He also served aboard ships around the world. Donald retired in Corvallis.

He enjoyed photography and cats.

Donald was a lifetime bachelor. His parents and three bothers preceded him death.

He is survived by two nephews and four nieces.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Corvallis. DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
