Heritage Mall has an artistic gift for mothers

ALBANY — Work from local artists will be on display for the 14th annual Mother's Day Arts and Crafts Show from Thursday, May 5, through Sunday, May 8, at the Heritage Mall.

Art donated to this event will be auctioned in a silent auction that will run during the art show, with bidding ending at 6 p.m. Sunday in the space next to Bath & Body Works.

Thirty-two artists from the Pacific Northwest have donated art, including oil paintings, wood turning, photography and sculptures.

The Mother's Day art's event is in conjunction with the mall's "Help Us Help Our Needy" project. The proceeds from the auction will go to Fish of Albany, a non-profit organization that provides emergency assistance to the needy.

Donations are still be accepted for the show and anyone interested can contact Cameron Blagg III at 967-7882 or cameroniii@aol.com or drop off contributions at the customer service kiosk inside the Heritage Mall or at the mall office.
