ALBANY As Albany Civic Theater closes it's 54th season with Neil Simmon's "Barefoot in the Park," and the ACTeen production of "David and Lisa," the scheduled for their 55th season has been announced.
"Barefoot in the Park," opening at 8 p.m. Friday, June 22, is a comedy about a newlywed couple moving into their first apartment and everything from the paint job to the skylight and the lack of furniture is wrong.
Additional performances will be at 8 p.m. July 23, 29, 20, 31, and Aug. 4, 5, 6, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24.
"David and Lisa," opening at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, is the story of two troubled teens who find acceptance and love in an unusual setting.
Additional performances will be at 8 p.m. Aug. 27, 28 and Sept. 1, 2, and 3.
Ticket pricing for the last two shows and for the 55th season will remain $9 for general admission; $6 for people over 60 and under 18, and $11 general admission and $8 for seniors and under 18 for musicals. Season tickets and samplers for the upcoming season will be available later this summer at Sid Stevens Jewelers in Albany or Rice's Pharmacy in Corvallis.

Sept. 23 to Oct. 8 "The Seven Year Itch" by George Axelrod. The story of a man who has been married for seven years and his wife is leaving him to his own devices for the summer. Directed by Jackie Tasker. Auditions are at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 25, and Tuesday, July 26. Callbacks are Wednesday, July 27.
Oct. 22 "The Big Night, "ACT's annual awards and volunteer recognition bash that is open to members.
Oct. 28 to Nov. 5 "Rope," by Patrick Hamilton. A suspenseful thriller based on the Leopold and Loeb murder trial of the 1920s. Directed by Nancy Fairchild.
Nov. 25 to Dec. 17 "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead," a comedy by Tom Stoppard. Directed by Paul Watts.
Jan. 13 to Feb. 4, 2006 "Seussical, the Musical," by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. An imaginative new musical based on the works of Dr. Seuss. Directed by Miranda Prince.
Feb. 24 to March 11, 2006 "The Underpants," a comedy about a man whose wife's underpants won't stay on, by Steve Martin, adapted from the play by Carl Sternheim. Directed by John Elliott
March 31 to April 15, 2006 "Enchanted April," a romantic comedy by Matthew Barber, from the novel by Elizabeth Von Arnim. Directed by Lorraine Sorensen.
May 5 to May 20, 2006 "The Miser," a comic story about a miser trying to marry off his children, by Moliere. Directed by Robert Leff.
June 9 to 24, 2006 "On Golden Pond," the story of couple who return to their summer home for their 44th year of marriage, by Earnest Thompson. Directed by Barbara Osterholm.
July 14 to 22, 2006 "Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde," a play about "gross indecency with male person," by Moisιs Kauffman. Directed by Pat Kight.
Aug. 18 to Sept. 9, 2006 "Into the Woods," by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. A grownup retelling of familiar fairy tales linked by the tale of a childless Baker and his Wife. Directed by Christi E. Sears.
