Lebanon scrimmage set for Saturday

LEBANON — The Lebanon High School red/white football scrimmage will be held at 7 p.m. today at Heath Stadium. The game will be preceded by a fundraising barbecue and Pop Warner game at 6 p.m. Admission to the barbecue and games is $10 per person, $30 for a family of four. The event is a benefit for the football program.

OSU men's basketball tickets on sale

CORVALLIS — Season tickets and special ticket plans are now on sale for the 2005-06 Oregon State men's basketball team's 15-game home schedule.

Reserved season tickets are $254 each. A season ticket for a bench-reserved seat in the upper balcony is $160, and a season seat in one of the top five rows at Gill Coliseum is $100.

The ticket office is also offering a "Saturday Plan" for $70 per ticket. This six-game package includes contests against UNLV, Arizona State, UCLA, Stanford, Washington and Oregon.

Riley, Liskevych to speak at huddle

CORVALLIS — The Corvallis Beaver Huddle will hold its first meeting Monday at noon on the third floor of the Valley Football Center.

Scheduled speakers will be football coach Mike Riley and volleyball coach Terry Liskevych. Cost for lunch is $6.50.

DeCarolis headlines first Albany huddle

The Albany Beaver Huddle will hold its first meeting of the 2005 football season at noon Thursday at Wyatt's, 211 First Avenue N.W.

Guest speaker will be Oregon State athletic director Bob DeCarolis.

The buffet lunch is $6.

South Albany football tickets on sale

South Albany High School is selling football season tickets Monday through Wednesday in the school main office during regular business hours.

The community is invited to an open house at the new South Albany High School weight room before the Rebels' season-opener against Lebanon on Friday.

The open house begins at 6:30 p.m. and the game at 7:30.

The contest is an endowment game and no passes will be accepted.

Game admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students.

Officials needed for soccer, football

The Mid Valley Soccer Referees Association is looking for officials for the upcoming soccer season.

Interested people need to be at least 15-years-old and have a soccer background.

The Corvallis Football Officials Association is recruiting new members to fill out its ranks for the coming season.

The CFOA provides officials for high schools, middle schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, Pop Warner and other organizations.

Oregon State football tickets still available

Approximately 1,100 reserved-seat tickets remain for Oregon State's Sept. 3 season opener against Portland State.

There are 750 tickets available for $36 each and 350 at $99.

There are also approximately 3,000 student tickets remaining, although the sideline seats in the student section are sold out.

As of Friday, there were also 350 tickets remaining for the Sept. 10 game with Boise State. Tickets are $36.

Tickets may be ordered via osubeavers.com, by calling 1-800-GO-BEAVS or in person at the Gill Coliseum ticket office.
