Siuslaw Forest names ranger for Central Coast

Pam Gardner, the new district ranger for the Central Coast Ranger District and Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area on the Siuslaw National Forest, begins her job on May 29.

Forest Supervisor Jose Linares in Corvallis announced her appointment.

Gardner has 23 years experience with the Forest Service. She began her career on the Payette National Forest in Idaho in 1984 and has held a variety of positions with the Forest Service since then.

Most recently, she has been district ranger for the Pleasant Grove Ranger District on the Uinta National Forest in Utah.
