Ag group awards scholarships

The Willamette Valley Ag Association, in conjunction with the Oregon Agricultural Education Foundation, has awarded $1,000 scholarships to seven students for the 2007-08 academic year.

Scholarships are awarded to college-level juniors, seniors and graduate students seeking a degree in an agricultural-related field at an Oregon university.

Winners are: Chelsie Burroughs of Lebanon, a junior in animal science at Oregon State University; Russell Deboodt of Prineville, a senior in horticulture at OSU; Kristine Duyck of Cornelius, a senior in general agriculture at OSU; Elias Eiguren of Jordan Valley, a senior in animal science at OSU; Jennifer Greenfield of Fossil, a senior in ag business management at Eastern Oregon University; Jon Iverson of Woodburn, a senior in crop and soil science at OSU; Kathleen Stiglbauer of Molalla, a junior in animal science at OSU.
