DEQ seeks comment on permit extensions

The Department of Environmental Quality is inviting the public to comment on a proposed extension and permit modification for several Oregon-based wood products companies, including Duraflake America Ltd in Millersburg.

Oral comments can be made starting at 3 p.m. on Nov. 29 at the Lausmann Business Center, DEQ Conference Room, 221 Stewart Avenue, Suite 201, Medford.

Written comments are due by 5 p.m. on Dec. 4. They can be e-mailed to hamman.patricia@deq

.state.or.us. Verbal comments can be made by calling 1-800-349-7677.

Documents for the Duraflake America Ltd. extension request can be viewed at the Albany Public Library, 1390 Waverly Drive, S.E., or online at www.deq.state.or.us/aq/permit/wr/extension.htm.

Other permit extension requests to be considered are from Roseburg Forest Products in Coquille, Riddle and Dillard and Boise Building Solutions, Medford.
