Men’s cross country

George Fox sophomore Cam Eberhart (West Albany) earned all-region honors for his 26th-place finish at the NCAA Division III West Regional meet Saturday at McIver State Park near Estacada.

Eberhart finished the 8,000-meter (5-mile) race in 26 minutes, 13 seconds.

George Fox was ninth of 13 teams.

Volleyball

Alesha Deesing (Santiam Christian) had six kills, one stuff block and one block assist in Washington’s four-game home win against California in Seattle.

A day earlier, Deesing had eight kills and two digs in a five-game home loss to Stanford.

Jorden Burrows (Lebanon) had three kills, 12 digs and six block assists Saturday in Western Oregon’s five-game loss at Central Washington in Ellensburg.

Melissa Bishop (Lebanon) had 10 kills, five stuff blocks and four block assists Sunday in Western Oregon’s four-game win at Walla Walla (Wash.).

Saturday, Bishop had four kills and two block assists in a three-game loss at Eastern Oregon in La Grande.

A day earlier, Bishop had four kills, one dig, one block assist and one stuff block in a three-game loss at Albertson in Caldwell, Idaho.

Men’s basketball

Brian Freeman (West Albany) had 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists Tuesday in Long Beach State’s 74-56 loss at Montana State in Bozeman.

Freeman had two points, four rebounds and one steal Saturday in a 74-34 home loss to BYU.

Football

Phil Sweet (West Albany) had four tackles and two assists, including one sack, Saturday in Willamette’s 17-10 home loss to Pacific Lutheran in Salem.

Brandon Martin (Sweet Home) had two tackles and three assists, including half a tackle for loss, Saturday in Whitworth’s 34-13 win at Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash.

Matt Slauson (Sweet Home) started at offensive left tackle Saturday in Nebraska’s 73-31 home win against Kansas State.

Women’s swimming

Idaho’s Cortnee Hanson (Lebanon) was seventh in the 400-yard freestyle Saturday in a three-way meet with Northern Arizona and New Mexico State in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Hanson was timed in 4 minutes, 46.87 seconds.

She was also eighth in the 800 freestyle (9:54.37) and ninth in the 200 backstroke (2:34.24).
