Georgean A. Vian

March 10, 1929 — Feb. 17, 2008

Georgean A. Vian, 78, of Lebanon died Sunday at Lebanon Rehab and Specialty Care.

She was born in Osmond, Neb., the daughter of Raymond and Mildred (Rumstay) Loeb. She was raised in Nebraska and married Thomas Vian on June 8, 1949, in Ainsworth, Neb. The couple resided in California before settling in Lebanon in 1962. Georgean had worked locally as a teacher’s aide for both Hamilton Creek and Gore School in Lebanon.

She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star and also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and growing plants.

She is survived by husband Thomas of Lebanon; daughters Judy Weirich of Louisville, Ky., and Paula Atwood of Rathdrum, Idaho; sisters Rayola Moore of Victorville, Calif., and Shirley Bartes of West Lakeo, Texas; and grandchildren Thomas Peterson of Hillsboro, Christopher Peterson of San Diego, Loren Weirich of Death Valley, Calif., and Levi Weirich of Lebanon.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. Private burial will be at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
