Selma Vivian Petersen

April 5, 1908 — Feb. 17, 2008

Selma Petersen died Sunday.

She was born in Aneta, N.D., the daughter of Hans and Gyda Gjertina (Solberg) Larsgaard.

Selma married Elmer Petersen on Oct. 22, 1929, at Grand Forks, N.D. Elmer died Feb. 12, 1981.

Selma is survived by daughter Helen Harris of Albany; son Duane Petersen of Wilsonville; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers Albert and Carl; and sister Pauline Hilden. She was preceded in death by brothers Paul, Martin and David Larsgaard; and sisters Olga and Clara Larsgaard.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fisher Funeral Home, with a committal service at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany.
