Three designated: Jane Fisher, Kim Turpin and Stephanie Corden with Coldwell Banker Valley Brokers Corvallis branch has been awarded the Accredited Buyer Representation (ABR®) designation by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council, Inc. (REBAC) of the National Association Of Realtors® (NAR). IT support: Kim Boone will join Coastal Farm & Ranch in an IT Support position. A recent graduate of Linn-Benton Community College’s IT program, he was previously with Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis. Boone will be the main contact for PC, laptop, email, printer and scanner support and will help support the Internet and other network systems.

Scholarship winner: Tysen Weber, son of Lee and Kellie Weber, is the recipient of the 2008 Wah Chang Scholarship award. Weber carries a 4.0 cumulative GPA at Lebanon High School. An Eagle Scout, Weber has received honors as Student of the Month, Optimist of the Year, and was a Finalist in the 26th Annual Oregon Mathematics Tournament. Weber will attend Brigham Young University this fall to study biochemistry.

Awarded: Local psychologist, Carol A. Carver, Ph.D., has been given the Distinguished Service Award for 2007-2008 from the Lane County Psychologists’ Association. The award is “in gratitude for her unstinting voluntarism in governance and advocacy for the profession of psychology.” Dr. Carver has been serving clients in the Albany-Corvallis area for 24 years. She is a past president of the Oregon Psychological Association and has a full time private practice in Corvallis.

New Internist: Internist Chee Lee, M.D., is the newest primary care medical provider to join The Corvallis Clinic Internal Medicine Department. Lee comes from Melbourne, Fla., where he worked as an internist at Omni Healthcare. Lee received his medical degree from the Medical University of Ohio in 1998. He is board certified in internal medicine, and specializes in adult medicine with a special interest in geriatrics and preventive medicine.
