News & Notes

Promoted: Cyndi Sprinkel-Hart has been promoted to Classified Inside Sales Supervisor for the Albany Democrat-Herald and the Corvallis Gazette-Times. She has been with the Democrat-Herald for 25 years, starting in 1983 as a receptionist. Sprinkel-Hart has been in the classified department for most of her career, previously holding the position Employment Specialist and Account Representative for six years. She has also been Classified Advertising Manager and an account representative.

Inventory specialist: Coastal Farm is happy to announce that Brenda Talbott has assumed the new position of Inventory Control Specialist. Brenda started with the company in 1993 at the Eugene location. She moved to the home office in 1999 to help with inventory and began working in data entry.

Two honored: David G. Triebes, JD, FACHE, chief executive officer, and Joseph R. Haralson, FACHE, vice president of Ancillary Operations, at Samaritan Albany General Hospital both recently became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders. To obtain Fellow status, candidates must pass a comprehensive exam, meet academic and experiential criteria, earn continuing education credits and demonstrate professional and community involvement.

MDA award: Dorothy O’Brien of Corvallis has been named the recipient of MDA’s 2008 Robert Ross Personal Achievement Award for Oregon. O’Brien, a medical librarian at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, suffers from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She is a representative for Oregonians with speech impairments, meeting with various ALS and stroke support groups. O’Brien attends MDA clinic and dedicates time to supporting the Association, attending fundraisers and other events.
