Irene E. Yanchik

Oct. 5, 1921 — July 19, 2008.

Irene E. Yanchik, 86, joined her husband John in heaven on Saturday when she passed away in Albany, where she lived with her daughter, Fay.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, moved to California in 1955, lived in Phoenix, Ariz., from 1965 to 1988, and returned back to Chino, Calif., until 2007 when she moved to Albany.

She is survived by her sister Ida Acton of Phoenix; 10 children, Lynn Parke of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Fay McClary and husband Gene of Albany; John “Butch” Yanchik and wife Melody of Avondale, Ariz.; Marlene Daesleer and husband Jeff of Fruitland, Idaho, Kenneth Yanchik and wife Joyce of Brodhead, Wis., Mary Ann Manard and husband Don of Apple Valley, Calif., Pat Iannucci and husband Al of Phoenix, Lee Yanchik and wife Lucy of San Antonio, Texas, Flora Matthiesen and husband Bob of Osawatomie, Kan., and Michelle Yanchik of Shawnee, Kan.; 29 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
