Sylvia Ann Boydston

July 16, 1925 — Aug. 5, 2008

Sylvia Ann Boydston, 83, died Aug. 5 at St. Charles Medical Center with her loving family at her side.

Sylvia was born in Sheridan and graduated from St. Helens Hall (Oregon Episcopal School) in 1943. She married Jim Boydston of Dallas in 1946.

She was a loving wife and mother who always put family first. Her hobbies included golf, skiing, gardening and travel. Sylvia loved animals and was a wonderful cook. She gave thoughtful advice on any subject to those in need, and she is dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; sons John and Jerry of Albany and James T. of Portland; daughter Jill of Portland; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Nadine MacClean of Portland.

She was preceded in death by daughter Jacqueline of Olympia.

There will be a private family celebration of her life later.
