Geary adds provider: Samaritan’s Division of Integrative Medicine announced that Dr. Scott Safford, PhD, has joined the Geary Street Clinic staff in Albany. Dr. Safford also sees patients at the Heartspring Wellness Center in Corvallis. He received a bachelor’s degree from Linfield College in McMinnville and earned his masters and doctorate in clinical psychology at Temple University in Philadelphia. He recently taught undergraduate psychology courses at Oregon State. Dr. Safford will work with adults and older adults on a broad range of psychological and mental health issues. He is accepting new patients and can be reached at 812-5655 on Tuesdays and Fridays and 768-6412 all other days of the week.
Annual conference: Debra and George Grenz, Albany distributors of Reliv International, nutritional supplements, recently attended “Cheers to 20 Years”, the company’s annual international conference in St. Louis. New leader: Linda Brown is the Manager for the Albany Service Unit of the Santiam Council of Girl Scouts. Brown has been a Girl Scout volunteer for 18 years and previously served as the Albany Manager from 1989 through 1991. She returned to Girl Scouts in 2003. Her recent accomplishments include successful fund raising for the renovation of the Albany Program Center, Daisy troop leader, and food drives for Linn Benton Food Share. Albany Girl Scouts and the Santiam Council are United Way Agencies. Brown is actively recruiting women willing to lead troops of all age levels, especially those that can act as career role models for girls. Training is provided. She can be contacted at 541-979-1225.
