Jakhob Miles, 19, of Albany died Thursday.

He was born in Coos Bay and came from North Bend to Albany at age 10. He attended Waverly Elementary, Memorial and Calapooia middle schools and South Albany High School.

Jakhob received the Presidential Academic Award of Achievement at Calapooia. He had four years of perfect attendance and was an honor roll student. He enjoyed rebuilding computers and liked his music and his dog, Strawberry. He was a caring young man and he shared and was generous to everyone.

He is survived by his mothers, Becki Miles and Penny Wells; grandparents Dan and Judy Miles; uncles Stephen Miles, and Rodney Miles and wife Mary; and cousins Trendi, Kaitlynn, Daniel, Ronnie, Robbie and Ann Marie Miles.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Daniel Miles Jr.
