Mennonite Festival planned for Saturday

Pie makers and other volunteers are busy this week preparing for the 25th annual Oregon Mennonite Festival for World Relief.

The festival will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Linn County Fair & Expo Center, 3700 Knox Butte Road N.E., Albany.

Admission is free.

In addition to pies for sale, the event will feature an auction of quilts, football tickets, vacation getaways, a sewing machine and antiques. There will be a food court and activities for children.

The festival benefits the Mennonite Central Committee and its world relief projects.
