Michael Barnhart

Sept. 16, 1949 — Oct. 25, 2008

Michael Barnhart, 59, of Vancouver, Wash., passed away Oct. 25 due to cardiac arrest.

Mike was born in Portland to Glenn and Mary Barnhart. He graduated from Corvallis High in 1967. He attended Portland State University and was involved in gymnastics and diving.

Mike had an adventurous spirit and loved hobbies such as skydiving, woodworking, photography, fishing, sailing and motorcycle racing.

Mike was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His parents, Mary and Glenn; children Sam and Jennie Barnhart; siblings Barbara Jacobson, Leonard Barnhart, Nancy Chandler and Leslie Barnhart; nine nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins survive him.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Covenant Church, 107 N.E. 45th St., Portland. Refreshments will follow the service.
