Olive C. Neihart

Feb. 8, 1938 — Nov. 21, 2008

Olive C. Neihart, 70, of Lebanon died Friday at her home.

Olive was born in Oklahoma, the daughter of Vern and Ruth (Briner) Neihart. She lived in California for many years, where she worked as a police dispatcher for the Orange Cove Police Department.

She moved to Oregon in 1978 and had been in the Albany and Lebanon areas since that time. She owned and operated the “B and O Drive In” restaurant in Albany for several years.

Olive had attended the Riverside Baptist Church in Albany for many years. Most recently she attended The River Center in Lebanon. She enjoyed serving the Lord, reading science fiction books and spending time with her family and friends.

Olive is survived by three daughters, Lynn Lanham of Lebanon, Carol Mabalot of LaPine and Arlene Liles of Fresno, Calif.; brother Ottis Neihart of Orange Cove, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was Sunday at The River Center in Lebanon. Private burial will be in Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.

The family requests memorial contributions be sent to The River Center in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon, OR 97355.
