Alfred A. Radke

March 20, 1929 — Nov. 21, 2008

Alfred A. Radke, 79, of Lebanon died Friday at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

He was born in Clinton, Okla., the son of Rudolph and Emma (Haas) Radke. He was raised in Oklahoma and served in the Army during the Korean conflict. Following his discharge he returned to Oklahoma and married LaVeta Decker on April 10, 1953. They settled in California, and moved to Medford in 1965. They moved to Baker City in 1990 and came to Lebanon in 2004.

Alfred had primarily worked in auto sales and repair.

He was a member of Family Bible Fellowship in Lebanon, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying, building and camping. He most enjoyed being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, LaVeta of Lebanon; children Garold Radke and wife Nancy of Lebanon, Bruce Radke and wife Laree of Woodburn, and Sharon Mayhew and husband Jim of Vancouver, Wash.; brothers Martin Radke of California and Alex of Nevada; sisters Sylvia Seher of California, Alma Gibson of California, Elsie Albin of Oklahoma and Leontina Stanbursky of California; and six grandchildren, Andrew, Phillip, Peter, Christy, Melissa and Bryce Radke.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Family Bible Fellowship in Lebanon.
