Albany library brings children’s programs

ALBANY — Jo Alexis and Arlie Connor will sing and tell “Animal Songs and Stories” at an all-ages afternoon program 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at the Albany Public Library, 1390 Waverly Drive S.E.

Alexis and Connor are professional songwriters and performers from Portland who have recently collaborated on a new CD full of catchy, silly songs called “Animal Tea Party.”

Next week, Eartha the Clown will offer magic and perform with three live animals at “The Magic of Planet Earth,” during a No-School Day science program at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at the Main Library.

Eartha will teach about endangered species, water, recycling, insects, and not-so-scary scary creatures. This program is for school-age children only; no preschoolers will be admitted.

Information: 917-7591.
