Two late free throws by McKay led the Scots to a 49-48 home victory in the season-opener for the Lebanon girls basketball team on Tuesday.

Sara Parks led the Warriors with 17 points.

Lebanon (0-1) will host its own tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Harrisburg won its season-opener over Monroe despite a poor shooting night.

“It was a sloppy first game,” said Harrisburg coach Mark Elmblade. “We got into foul trouble in the first half.”

Lauren Croucher led the Eagles with 11 points. Caitlyn Francalancia added four points and seven rebounds.

Harrisburg (1-0) held Monroe to eight first-half points.

“We played a matchup zone, and they had trouble with it,” said Elmblade.

The Eagles host Glide on Thursday.

Harrisburg built a 40-13 halftime lead and cruised to victory over Monroe.

Jordan Buhler scored 24 points, and Justin Smucker had 23.

“We executed what we needed to execute on offense, found the open people and did a good job of rotation,” said Eagles coach Terry Crabb.
