David Allen Lazzarotto

July 15, 1967 — Dec. 19, 2008

David Allen Lazzarotto, 41, of Albany passed away Friday from cancer. He was born in Bellflower, Calif., to Garry and Phyllis (Johnson) Lazzarotto. In 1985 he married Michelle Morris in Hesperia, Calif.

Dave’s world revolved around his wife and son. He met Michelle when he was just 16 years of age and had an amazing relationship with her ever since. They worshiped the ground each other walked on. He was a devoted, providing, protective and loving father to his 10-year-old son, Joseph. He was also a sincere and reliable friend to the ones that were close to him. Dave could always bring a smile to your face. He was absolutely like no other. “We will always miss him.”

Dave was a 49ers football fan, enjoyed motocross, mixed martial arts, RC trucks, camping, loved the snow, choppers, tattoos and making people laugh.

Dave is survived by his wife, Michelle Diane Lazzarotto of Albany; son Joseph William Lazzarotto; brother Michael James Lazzarotto of California; sister Michelle Leanne St. Pierre of Albany; nephews Anthony James Lazzarotto, Shawn Michael St. Pierre, Tyler Joseph St. Pierre, David William St. Pierre, Colton Scavone, Keaton Scavone and Michael Morris; niece Rachael Morris; sisters-in-law Julie Morris and Laura Morris; brothers-in-law Buck Morris and Joe Scavone; and best friends Gary and Nancy Dobbins.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Monday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements (www.aasum-dufour.com).
