Dumas “Sonny” DeKuyper, 72, of Lebanon died Dec. 13 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.

Sonny was born in Lebanon, the son of Damas and Minnie (McIntosh) DeKuyper. He had lived in the Lebanon area throughout his life.

Sonny married JoAnne Coughran on Sept. 12, 1958. The couple divorced several years later.

Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and all sports.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Judy Weikel and Patricia Jerral; and one sister, Ramona Board.

He is survived by two sons, Joe and Terry DeKuyper, both of Glenwood, Ark.; brother Gary DeKuyper of Lebanon; sister Barbara Moffatt of Lebanon; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 3 at the Lebanon First Assembly of God in the Fireside Room. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
