Certified: Heather O’Connor, a major gift officer for the affiliated foundations of Samaritan Health Services, has earned certification from Certified Fund Raising Executive International, an independent organization dedicated to setting standards in philanthropy and fundraising. Recipients are certified for a three-year period and are expected to continue with their professional education. Certified Fund Raising Executive designation denotes commitment to the best outcomes in fundraising efforts and in the profession. Individuals granted the certification have met a series of standards set by the organization and must pass rigorous testing of the knowledge, skills and abilities required of a fundraising executive.
