Consultant: Wendy Joy has joined Countrywide Insurance Services as an insurance consultant. She offers a full range of insurance products through companies such as Balboa Insurance Company, Progressive and Travelers. She has more than 16 years experience in insurance and specializes in home and auto coverage. Her office is located at 405 NW 5th St., Ste. Orthopedic assistant: Eric Moen, PA-C, has joined Samaritan Mid-Valley Orthopedics in Albany and will assist with clinical and surgical cases. Moen is a graduate of Oregon Health & Science University in physician assistant studies. He earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science and athletic training from Oregon State University in 1991. Prior to enrolling at OHSU, he worked as a certified athletic trainer for four years. Some of that work was with Rebound Physical Therapy. He is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Moen has worked in Albany in family practice and worked previously for Samaritan affiliated clinics such as Geary Street Urgent Care and Samaritan Occupational Medicine. He is returning to Samaritan after practicing in Salem with Willamette Orthopedic Group since 2004. Samaritan Mid-Valley Orthopedics is located at 400 NW Hickory Ave., Suite 201. Benton Director: Linn-Benton Community College has named Jeff Davis as the new director for the Benton Center. Davis, a Corvallis resident, previously served as Chair of the Department of Continuing Education and Extended Learning at Lane Community College in Eugene and has more than 19 years of management experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in adult education, both from Oregon State University. Davis also completed the Community College Emerging Leaders Institute at OSU, the Leadership Institute of the Oregon Employment and Training Association, and has professional certification from the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals.
Promoted: Jennifer Schaffner has been promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President and Bank Operations Manager for Willamette Valley Bank. Schaffner has 18 years of banking experience in the Willamette Valley and is a graduate of the Oregon Banker's Association Operations School and a member of the Oregon Banker's Association Operations Committee. Willamette Valley Bank operates full service branches in Salem, Keizer, and Albany.
