Moving: Judith Csanky, MD is relocating her Gastroenterology Practice from Corvallis to Albany. She will begin practicing at 1086 Seventh Ave. S.W. in Albany on July 1, 2008. Challenge Award: Kim Reed of Albany, was awarded the CEO Challenge Award for 2008 by Palm Harbor Homes. The award recognizes associates with the best performance among their peers company wide. Reed was the recipient in the Materials Manager category, which scored five categories of performance from material cost control, inventory, handling costs, total scores and their value.

New broker: Laura Lin recently joined Coldwell Banker Valley Brokers in Corvallis as a Real Estate Broker. Laura has been living in Corvallis for almost 18 years. Silver Award: In May, April Kiger was recognized for her long tenure at Albany's Mennonite Village by the Oregon Alliance of Senior and Health Services with the Silver Star Award at its annual conference in May. The Silver Star Award is for employees who have served for 25 years in one of the Oregon Alliance communities. Kiger, who works as Team Leader at Quail Run, manages staffing and scheduling. She is also a Certified Medication Assistant.

New consultant: Meagan Harsen has joined Mission Hills Mortgage in Albany as a Senior Mortgage Consultant. Meagan has spent the past eight years at Pinnacle Mortgage in Albany & Corvallis. She has 18 years of experience in the lending industry and is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside.

Keynote speaker: Nancy Kneisel, owner of Second Glance will be honored as the keynote speaker at the National Association of Resale and Thrift Shops (NARTS) national conference held June 26-30, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kneisel has been a member of NARTS for 18 years and has been active as an educator for the national organization. For more than 20 years, Kneisel has owned and operated Second Glance in downtown Corvallis - a consignment shop for women that offers quality fashion in a sustainable, responsible manner.
