CORVALLIS n The second round of "Ties to the Land: Succession Planning for Ranching Families" workshops will begin this month.
The workshops are open to the public at half of the full $50 registration price, according to Bart Eleveld, OSU Extension economist. Registration fees for those who attended the first session remain in effect, although you will be charged for lunch.
Eleveld said the programs will "cover some of the same topics addressed at the first session but in greater depth and with more specific examples. We are building our presentations around a case study of a cattle ranching family with some of the tricky family and economic issues that many of you face in your family business."
Persons who missed the first session are encouraged to catch up by reading documents on the website, viewing a streaming video or ordering a DVD. Visit http://arec.oregonstate.edu/succession.html.
