CORVALLIS - Benton County Dial-A-Bus in conjunction with Lincoln County Transit has recently added a new service from Benton to Lincoln County. Normally Dial-A-Bus serves seniors and people with disabilities, but at this time its Coast to Valley route is open to the general public.

The demand responsive service will pick passengers up at their place of residence or other convenient location in Benton County and transport them to a half-way point.

Passengers will then transfer to a Lincoln County Transit vehicle for the remainder of the journey to the coast.

To get to the desired destination passengers can also link up with other community transportation sources: Corvallis Transit, Linn-Benton Loop and Philomath Connection.

Rides cost $7 each way Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Pickup times are 8 to 8:30 a.m. (arrive at destination 10:15 a.m.) and 3:30 to 4 p.m. (arrive at destination 5:45 p.m.). Booking is available from one day to a week in advance. For reservations, call Benton County Dial-A-Bus at (541) 752-2615 or Lincoln County Transit t (541) 265-4900.
