Sherri Barnett has been named service accountant at Papé Machinery in Tangent. Previously, she worked for Lebanon School District. Papé Machinery Inc. provides sales, rental, parts and service for construction and forestry equipment in Oregon, Washington, Northern California and Northwestern Nevada. Papé Machinery is the authorized dealer for John Deere, Hitachi, Gradall, Trail King, Dynapac, Breaker Technology Inc. and Morbark equipment brands. General Manager: Lebanon Subways has expanded, opening a location inside the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Lebanon and has named Kara Smith General Manager of the Lebanon Subways. Smith has been with the Lebanon Subway store for two years. She began as a sandwich artist and was promoted to store manager. Originally from San Diego, Cal., she attended Linn-Benton Community College and will begin studies at Oregon State this fall, majoring in accounting.

Joins team: Valerie Bevel has recently joined Coldwell Banker Valley Brokers' Lebanon Branch as a licensed Real Estate Broker. She has been licensed since 1993 and brings with her many years of experience in residential and rental investment properties. ReStore director: Angela Cardas-Meredith is the new director of the Lebanon Habitat ReStore, at the corner of Oak and Airway streets in Lebanon. Cardas-Meredith succeeds Cameo Bogatin, who became director when the store opened in February. Cardas-Meredith, 31, graduated from Oregon State University with a speech communications degree in 1998 and worked 10 years for the radio station KXPC 103.7. She became director of the ReStore in early June. Previously, she worked full-time in the scrapbooking industry in Portland. She also has her own business, Cardas Photography.

Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, the store offers an ever-changing variety of tools, fixtures, appliances and home-building supplies, depending on the donations of the day. Proceeds from their sales go to Habitat for Humanity, the organization that helps low-income people build their first home. Surgical assistant: Annemarie Boyd, PA, joined the The Corvallis Clinic Urology Department on July 14. Boyd comes from Boston, where she was a research assistant in the rheumatology department at Brigham & Women's Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and for the departments of agriculture for Pennsylvania and the United States. Boyd graduated from the Master of Physician Assistant program at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science in Boston in May 2008. She received a bachelor's degree in health science there in 2006 and a bachelor's degree in pre-medicine from Messiah College in Grantham, Pa., in 2003. Boyd is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She will work as a surgical assistant with Dr. Michael Brant and Dr. Mary Ochadlik, who joins the staff on Sept. 2. The Urology department is located on the third floor of the Asbury Building and can be reached at (541) 754-1287.
