Feb. 3 - The Linn-Benton Community College Business Development Center will begin a real estate license exam prep course. The class will meet from 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays for 15 weeks in the Siletz Room of the College Center on the Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.E. Cost: $595 plus books. Registration: 917-4929.

Feb. 4 - Linn-Benton Community College will begin a professional in human resources exam prep course. The class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays through April 28 in Room B-101 on the Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W., Albany. Cost: $945 for three-credit course, $795 for no credit, $99 for refresher students. Registration: 917-4923.

Feb. 4 - The Oregon Environmental Council will present "Alternative Fuels" from 7 to 9 a.m. in Room 440 of the Lillis Business Complex at the University of Oregon. Feb. 5 - The department of design and human environment at Oregon State University will host a free career fair from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at CH2M Hill Alumni Center. Feb. 11-13 - Samaritan Health Services and the Health Occupations/Services Education Center will offer a parish nursing prep course for three days at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany. There will also be a weekend retreat March 12-14 at Mill Creek Ranch outside Newport. Cost: $410 (includes three LBCC credits, manuals, meals and retreat lodging). Registration: 917-4510 by Feb. 6.
