Candy store opens: Katie's Chocolates is opening in the Heritage Mall on Thursday, Oct. 9. The new store will serve Goody's Chocolates and will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Free samples and coupons will be handed out at the store Oct. 9. A grand opening is scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 15. You can contact the store by calling 541-928-5400.
Mental Health Nurse: Ned Dingeldein, PMHNP, recently joined Samaritan Mental Health in Albany. He received a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Oklahoma and then earned an associate and a master's degree in nursing from New Mexico State University, where he completed the psychiatric nurse practitioner program. Dingeldein is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an adult psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He has worked at hospitals and psychiatric centers in New Mexico, Texas and Washington. He joins Samaritan from Linn County Mental Health Services, where he has practiced since 2002. Appointed: Dr. Vern Saboe, an Albany chiropractor has been appointed Oregon's Delegate to the American Chiropractic Association's House of Delegates. Dr. Saboe will represent Oregon chiropractors at the federal level. One of his areas of interest is that of ensuring the more than 360,000 Oregon veterans have clear access to chiropractic services. Locally Dr. Saboe is working with the Portland Veteran's Administration and the "Veterans Services Task Force" to let veterans know they maybe eligible to receive chiropractic care.
New team member: Keller Williams Mid-Willamette Market Center has added Carole de Glanville to its team of real estate professionals in Corvallis. de Glanville is an experienced real estate professional and a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Chinese Language and literature. She is active in the community with the SMART program, Crossroads and Interfaith Caregivers.
