CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

Beginning swing dance - 7 to 9 p.m. Sundays beginning Nov. 8 for a total of five weeks, Corvallis Boys & Girls Club, 1112 N.W. Circle Blvd., Corvallis. Rotation optional. Learn more than 35 swing moves, including intermediate moves; the foxtrot and waltz will also be covered. All ages, couples and singles are welcome. Instructors: Chris Roach and Sheila Seguin. MusiCafe Rock School's "Rockin' Choir" - 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays (began Nov. 4), MusiCafe Rock School, 139 S.W. Third St., Corvallis. Students learn to sing harmony and blend together, as well as breath control and projection. The as-yet-unnamed choir will perform with live bands at the next big Rock School show. Paper-to-paper transfer workshop - 10 a.m. to noon. Nov. 14, DIVA Center, 110 W. Broadway, Eugene. Students will learn several techniques for transferring images, including use of solvents and acrylic mediums. Participants may bring images made on copiers, which allow for transferring.
