MILL CITY - Santiam High School will hold commencement for its 36-member Class of 2007 at 8 p.m. Friday, June 1, in the school gym.

Valedictorian Danielle Henry and Salutatorian Alicen Hull will speak at the ceremony.

Baccalaureate will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, in the auditorium.

Valedictorian Danielle Henry, the daughter of Tammra Henry and Tom Henry, earned a 4.0 grade point average. She served on student council, and was ASB president this year and class president the previous three years. She participated in drama club and served as vice president twice, and was a member of the International Thespian Society. She was a Lunch Buddy mentor, and was named a Student of the Month during each of her four years. She was a varsity member of the dance team, and captain as a junior and senior. She plans to attend the University of Oregon and major in business and journalism/public relations.

Salutatorian Alicen Hull, the daughter of Carla Lowry, graduated with a 3.96 grade point average. She participated in Key Club, FBLA and National Honor Society, and played varsity softball. She was involved in Girl Scouts, the drama club and student government, and served as secretary for her senior class. She was a member of Young Life, and made the honor roll all four years. She plans to attend George Fox University and major in pre-medicine.
