A Festival of American Popular Culture is under way through April 25 at Linn-Benton Community College.
All events are free and will be held in the LBCC Russell Tripp Performance Center, Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W., unless otherwise noted.
Two art exhibits will be on display through April 30. Rock Posters from San Francisco, 1966-71, is at the newly renovated LBCC library. An exhibit on the history of The Cottonwoods Ballroom is at the South Santiam Hall Gallery. A reception is planned from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the gallery.

Tuesday: LBCC poets will perform "On the Road from" 3 to 4:30 p.m. with the LBCC Poetry Club: What's Pop About Poetry?
Wednesday: Graham Kislingbury, online editor for gazettetimes.com and democratherald.com will present "Online Media and Popular Culture" from noon to 1 p.m. How has online media changed the way our culture takes in news stories?
Thursday: Movie, "Bringing Up Baby," 2:30 p.m.
April 15: Movie, "My Darling Clementine," 2:30 p.m.
April 18: Local folk trio MC2, at noon. Musicians Mark Weiss and Cliff and Chere Peirera have performed their three-part vocal harmony and flat-pick guitar for more than 20 years and have incorporated a collection of songs from American folk artists of the last 60 years.
April 22: Gary Westford, LBCC art and history instructor, will present "When Six was Nine: Rock Posters from San Francisco 1966-71," from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Westford will examine the socio-political era of the 1960s as it relates to the development of the psychedelic music and poster art movement in San Francisco.
April 23: Peter Carlin, feature writer from The Oregonian, will present "Television and the Nation's Collective Subconscious" from noon to 1 p.m.
April 24: Movie, "Good Luck and Good Night," 2:30 p.m.
April 25: Singer Linda Hornbuckle, 8 to 10 p.m. Born and raised in Portland, Hornbuckle has been singing since age 6. Her music is described as a soul-tinged hybrid that incorporates elements of her gospel background with full-bodied funk.
