People arrested are innocent unless proven otherwise in court. Charges often change as a case progresses.

ALBANY POLICE

More charges - Police have made more charges against two brothers allegedly involved in marijuana sales in Albany and Linn County.

Mychal Dale Brown, 27, and Matthew Ryan Brown, 23, were arrested Friday when they were stopped in their car by a patrol officer. They were still at the Linn County Jail this morning.

Both brothers were charged with hindering prosecution, tampering with a witness and third-degree assault in connection with an attack on a man April 29 at the Albany Skatepark.

Police had been looking for Mychal Brown since raiding his Milwaukie home in March and seizing more than 160 marijuana plants and other drugs. That search followed an earlier raid at a home in Tangent where Matthew Brown was living. Matthew Brown was arrested on drug charges at that time.

Detectives have now charged Mychal Brown with conspiracy to deliver marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms in Linn County. In Clackamas County, he faces charges of possession, delivery and manufacturing of marijuana; possession of psilocybin mushrooms; and frequenting a place with controlled substances.

The assault that occurred at the skatepark is related to the larger marijuana investigation, police said.

Anyone with information about the skatepark incident is asked to call detectives at (541) 917-7686.
