LINN COUNTY SHERIFF

Riverside Drive crash - Deputies and medics responded at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday to a single-vehicle collision on Riverside Drive near Orleans Road. A northbound 1990 Nissan car went off the road and into a brick wall at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Speed is believed to be a factor in the collision, according to the sheriff's office.

The driver, Edward Allen Cass, 22, of Albany, and two passengers were all taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. Cass was listed in good condition this morning.

The passengers were Nicholas A. Webster, 23, of Albany and KC Shane Fortenberry, 23, of Corvallis. They were both in critical condition.

One of the men was transported by Reach helicopter.

Burglary - A shop in the 28800 block of Liberty Road was broken into sometime prior to Tuesday morning. A boat motor, fishing equipment and tools were reported stolen.

ALBANY POLICE

Pickup vs. playground - Just before noon Tuesday, a pickup crashed into the playground at Faith Lutheran Church.

According to police, the pickup was turning from Elm Street onto 18th Avenue S.W. when the driver lost control. The 15-year-old male was charged with reckless driving, failure to carry proof of insurance and no operator's license. He was released to a family member. He and his passenger were not injured.

LEBANON POLICE

Man stripping - Police received multiple calls Tuesday afternoon about a man standing on the sidewalk in the 500 block of N. Santiam Highway and stripping. The man was down to his underwear by the time police arrived. He was taken to the hospital emergency room before being arrested on an outstanding warrant from Albany Municipal Court. According to police, the man was to be taken to the Linn County Jail where he would be seen by a mental health professional.

OREGON STATE POLICE

Alleged assault - On Tuesday, troopers arrested a man driving on Interstate 5 south of Albany after getting a report that he had assaulted another man at a truck stop in Coburg.

According to OSP, the suspect allegedly broke a window on the other man's vehicle and then hit the man's leg with a metal pipe.

Troopers located Dennis Eugene Myers, 61, of Las Vegas, traveling north on I-5 just north of Highway 34. Myers was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief, and taken to the Linn County Jail.
