ALBANY POLICE

Locked in - Police received a call at 2:18 a.m. today from a man saying he was locked inside a downtown Albany business. He said he had been in an area where people play lottery and he didn't realize employees were closing up for the night. Police contacted the business owner, who said he would take care of the situation.

Noise - Neighbors around Timber-Linn Park reported hearing about five explosions just before 10 p.m. Thursday. Officers checked the park, the fairgrounds and the surrounding roads but didn't find anything that might have caused the noise.

LINN COUNTY SHERIFF

Stolen logging gear - Tools, climbing gear, gaff spurs, shackles, line clamps and a single-bit axle were reported stolen Thursday from a logging site off Rock Creek Road east of Sweet Home. Value: $1,100.

LEBANON POLICE

Theft - A $2,000 saw was reported stolen Thursday from an American Concrete Cutting job site on E. Grant Street.

Crash - Gene Rae Montgomery, 37, of Lebanon was treated for minor injuries Thursday afternoon at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital after he was thrown from a pickup bed during a two-vehicle collision at the corner of E. Grant and Grove streets.

The crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. and involved a 1986 GMC pickup driven by Randy Thomas, 52, and a 2006 Toyota compact vehicle driven by Medea Swafford, 35. She was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
