Several people were standing and sitting around an established backyard fire pit when partygoers decided the fire had died down too much. Someone tossed ATV fuel on the embers, causing flames to flare up. The flames spread to the women, ages 21 and 31.

Some people received minor burns on their hands trying to put out the flames on the women. The women were burned on their hands, arms and upper torsos.

They were taken to the hospital in Lebanon before being transferred to the burn center. Their conditions are unknown; however, one woman appeared to be burned more badly than the other.
