The first 10 students in grades 6 through 12 to register can take part in the Albany Public Library Marionette Troupe.
Participants will learn how to manipulate string puppets and present a dramatic performance for children.
The workshop with casting and rehearsals of the show is from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 27. Performances will begin at 10:30 a.m. July 28 and 2 p.m. July 29, at the downtown Carnegie library, 302 Ferry St. S.W.
To be a member of the troupe, students must attend the entire workshop/rehearsal and both performances. Members will receive a free T-shirt.
Membership in the troupe is free. Registration forms are available in the young adult area at either branch of the Albany Public Library.
