People arrested are innocent unless proved otherwise in court. Initial charges often change as a case progresses.
ALBANY POLICE
Threats - An Albany man was arrested Tuesday after he made a phone call threatening a defense attorney, a former deputy district attorney and an unidentified circuit court judge.
The call came to the administration office of the Albany Fire Department. Police went there and spoke with the man on the phone while additional officers went to the man's residence and arrested him. The man was lodged in the Linn County Jail on two counts of disorderly conduct.
Domestic disturbance - Shortly after midnight Tuesday, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 5000 block of Pacific Boulevard S.W., where officers determined that a man had assaulted a woman.
Police used a Taser on the man after he refused to comply with officers' repeated orders to get on the ground. The man was arrested for interfering with police. The woman did not want to press assault charges.
Stolen SUV - Police responded at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday to a residence in the 1900 block of Jackson Street S.E., after getting a call that a man had stolen a Chevy Suburban.
According to a police report, the man had been at the residence and asked to borrow the SUV from the owner. When told he couldn't borrow the SUV, the man took it anyway. He returned with the SUV just before officers arrived.
According to the report, the man threatened the owner of the vehicle and smashed beer bottles with an aluminum bat.
Keith Loren Perkins, 23, of Albany was arrested on charges of coercion, third-degree criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was lodged in the Linn County Jail.
Car stolen - A white 1993 Mercury Topaz with Oregon license CHIPWA was reported stolen Tuesday from Blue Ox Drive S.E. The vehicle is valued at $1,000.
Stolen Honda - A red 1990 Honda Civic was stolen between 10 p.m. and midnight Tuesday from the 900 block of Jackson Street S.E. Police took a report.
Collision - Police and medics responded at 8:26 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian in the 2700 block of Pacific Boulevard S.E. The pedestrian, who according to initial information had a leg injury, was taken to a hospital by medics. No other details were available this morning.
LEBANON POLICE
Shot in the foot - Police responded Tuesday afternoon to a 19-year-old woman who was shot in the foot. The incident took place in an alley behind a bar in the 600 block of Main Street. The gunshot was not self-inflicted but most likely accidental, police said. The woman was transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. The investigation continues.
SWEET HOME POLICE
Weapon arrest - Brian James Gilbert, 20, of Sweet Home was arrested Tuesday and charged with felon in possession of a restricted weapon, fourth-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief. He was taken to the Linn County jail.
ROAD CONDITIONS
Crashes - The Linn County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police responded to numerous vehicle accidents Tuesday due to slick roads. Most of the accidents did not involve injuries. Roads appeared to be clear this morning in most areas of the county.
