People arrested are innocent unless proved otherwise in court. Initial charges often change as a case progresses.
Albany Police
Stolen cross - The owner of a Celtic cross that was stolen from a yard Sunday night would like it back, no questions asked. The garden cross, which has sentimental value to the owner, was in the 2400 block of Jackson Street S.E. It is gray and 3 or 4 feet tall. Anyone with information can call the owner at 926-5763.
Burglary report - Police responded at 4:17 a.m. today to a house in the 100 block of Charlotte Street N.E. for a report of a burglary in progress. Officers didn't find anyone at the house and were unable to locate the owner.
Trespass call - Police were searching for a fence jumper around 10:20 p.m. Monday at a car lot in the 500 block of Ellsworth Street S.W. A caller reported seeing a man who, after about eight tries, jumped over a fence and into the lot. Officers and patrol dog Thor from the Linn County Sheriff's Office were unable to find the man.
Fight - Officers responded to a fight at 10:40 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of Third Avenue S.W. By the time police arrived, the suspects had run inside a house. Police spoke with the people at the house and ended up charging four people with being minors in possession of alcohol and related offenses.
Linn County Sheriff
Car part theft - Catalytic converters were stolen off three vehicles at a business in the 900 block of S. Second Street in Harrisburg. The sheriff's office took a report Monday morning.
Burglary - A home in the 39000 block of Santiam Street in Waterloo was broken into sometime before Monday evening. Stolen items included an Xbox, Canon AE-1 camera, Remington .22-caliber rifle, JVC DVD player, Dish Network console and duffel bags.
Lebanon Police
Broken windows - Cafeteria windows at Lebanon High School were reported broken over the weekend. Loss value: $600.
Car break-ins - Three vehicles parked in the 200 block of E. Ash Street were entered between Monday night and this morning. Total loss value: $250. A Pioneer car stereo and CD player was stolen from one of the cars.
