The 27th Annual Bob Ross Open Invitational Nature Photography Show will be at 7 tonight at Linn-Benton Community College, in the Forum Building, room 104, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W., Albany.
This year's theme is the all-digital "Windows Into Nature," featuring views that make it seem as if you are looking out of or into some aspect of nature. Photographers are welcome to bring images on CD or on a USB keychain hard drive.
Nature photographers from throughout the Willamette Valley gather each year to celebrate nature and share their experiences, techniques, favorite places and things to see. Nature for this purpose is defined as plants, animals, scenics, rocks, clouds, water or anything else that one finds in nature and that lacks any evidence of humans. No architecture, vehicles, hot air balloons or backpackers, etc.
If you plan to show photos, please limit your selection to no more than 20 digital images and come early to allow time to download your images prior to the show. No major manipulation of the photos is allowed. A slight adjustment to brightness, contrast or balance is acceptable.
This event is free and open to the public. You do not have to show photographs in order to attend. For more information, contact Bob Ross at 928-3711 rosspix@comcast.net.
