About 700 people took part in the 28th annual holiday parlour tour Sunday in Albany.

"We were quite pleased with the turnout," said Rebecca Bond of the Albany Visitors Association. "We answered a lot of questions leading me to believe that we had many newcomers to the tour. We had telephone inquiries from Portland, Salem, Eugene and Corvallis."

Eight homes built between 1870 and 1921 were on the Home for the Holiday tour along with museums, churches, the Carnegie Library and, for the first time, the Albany Train Station.
