11:07 a.m.: The Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division in Newport is still seeking tips on the poaching of a five-point bull elk in Lincoln County.

In addition to a $500 reward from the Oregon Hunters Association, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and The HSUS Wildlife Land Trust are offering a $2,500 reward to help solve this case.

On the opening day of archery season, August 30th, police received a complaint of poached bull elk off of the Forest Capital 2200 road east of Devil's Lake near Lincoln City. The elk had been dead for at least a day and had been left to waste.
