La Leche League of Albany will host an open house and demonstrate a variety of baby-carrying items from 10 a.m. to noon, June 16, at the Albany Public Library, 1390 Waverly Drive S.E.

Volunteers will be available to answer questions about breastfeeding and La Leche League. Visitors may try on slings, wraps, pouches and backpacks, and learn tips for using them.

La Leche League is an international nonprofit nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, mother-to-mother support and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. It meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Monday of the month at Samaritan Albany General Hospital, 1046 Sixth Ave. S.W.
