Country music artist Billy Currington won't be singing at the upcoming Oregon Jamboree in Sweet Home due to laryngitis.

Currington was scheduled to perform Aug. 4. He has canceled his summer concerts and will extend that cancellation well into August to rest his voice.

Currington has had several top 10 hits, including the album "Doin' Somethin' Right," which reached No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. His 2004 duet with Shania Twain, "Party for Two," was another top 10 hit.

A replacement for Currington will soon be announced, according to event manager Peter LaPonte.

The 15th Jamboree is less than two weeks away and will be held Aug. 3-5 behind Sweet Home High near the Weddle Covered Bridge.

This year's lineup includes Dierks Bentley, Trisha Yearwood and Jo Dee Messina, among a total of 13 acts. Children's entertainment is planned for both Saturday and Sunday.

General admission three-day passes are $105, or $115 at the gate. A general admission, one-day pass is $70, or $75 at the gate. Camping is still available and is $75 for the full weekend, or $80 at the gate. A child's three-day pass, ages 7 to 12, is $25; a one-day pass is $12. Children 6 and under are free, general admission only, with a paid adult.
