The Oregon Agricultural Education Foundation recently announced the recipients of the Oregon Farm Bureau Memorial Scholarship for 2008-09. The program seeks to promote agriculture and related fields and is open to any Oregon high school graduate preparing for an agriculture or forestry-related career.
Oregon State University junior Kristin Hogan of Tillamook received the only $1,500 scholarship.
The $1,000 scholarship recipients included OSU students Jana vonBorstel of Grass Valley, Hannah DelCurto of Cove, Henry Heiser of Dayton, Rob Bixby of Riddle and Kip Krebs of Ione.
OSU students Jami Cate of Lebanon, Megan O'Leary of Paisley and Taunie Lewis of Tygh Valley each received a $750 scholarship.
