ALBANY POLICE

Woman found - Police were searching west Albany Wednesday afternoon after getting a report that a woman with Alzheimer's had walked away from the Albany hospital. The search ended when a family member found the woman walking near the Pacific Boulevard overpass.

LINN COUNTY SHERIFF

Theft - A heat pump, tiki torches and scrap metal were reported stolen Wednesday from the 38500 block of Mountain Home Drive in Lebanon. Value: $3,500.

Arrest - Jesse Daniel Nelson, 32, of Harrisburg was arrested Wednesday for sexual abuse and related offenses, and lodged in the Linn County Jail.

According to the sheriff's office, the alleged victim in the case is a 6-year-old girl who was known to Nelson.

SWEET HOME POLICE

Fleeing an officer - A 23-year-old man was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of Osage Street after allegedly attempting to elude a police officer.

A police report states the man attempted to flee in his vehicle when police tried to pull him over for careless driving and failure to obey a traffic device. The man then allegedly tried to flee on foot.

James Alan Wood of Sweet Home was lodged in the Linn County Jail on charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants, attempt to elude with a vehicle, attempt to elude on foot, assaulting a public officer and third-degree escape.
