LEBANON POLICE
False report - Lebanon police and medics scrambled at about 8:30 p.m. Friday to respond to a report of a drive-by shooting at River Park that officers later said was a hoax.
According to a dispatch report, the initial call said a 22-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest from a suspect in a black Ford Bronco who left traveling east on Grant Street.
Lebanon police were not able to find a victim or a suspect and later confirmed the call appeared to be a prank.
ALBANY POLICE
Arrest - Kyle Roger Welch, 20, of Albany was arrested Friday on a charge of first-degree theft by receiving. He was released and cited to appear April 18 in Linn Circuit Court.
